This is such a cool project! I plan on making more and I even have my mom saving empty rolls to make her own art! I saw this project on Design Sponge (You can view the tutorial there). But basically I just cut toilet paper rolls into 5 pieces, laid them out to make a design, hot glued them together, then spray painted with an espresso color. It looks like metal, no one thinks it's toilet paper rolls until I tell them.
This is one of those projects that is so versatile. You can arrange the pieces to make swags, wreaths, borders for mirrors and pictures, etc! I'm currently saving rolls to make a BIG something on my bedroom wall. I can't wait to do that one!
Sunshine to my Soul
This is my place to show off craft projects that I've done or other home improvement stuff. I'm not a very creative person so a lot of my crafts aren't my own, but of ideas from other crafters out there who happen to be a lot more creative than I.

Book Wreath
I saw this wreath on Living with Lindsey's blog and I loved it! You can view her tutorial on her blog. It took about 90 minutes. Good project to do while watching TV. For my wreath, I used an old New Testament bible book. I was going to donate it to the Goodwill and figured no one would probably buy it and it would sit in a landfill for eternity rotting. So I decided to create a thing of beauty with the Good Book and I have it proudly displayed on my mantel.
My husband says I'm going to hell for destroying a Bible but I think God would be proud to have His word displayed in my living room for all to see.

Kitchen Swag
This swag I did create myself. I had to come up with something to replace my grape swag that was over my kitchen stove. I took the old swag down to paint my cabinets and I was mortified at how greasy it was. It was seriously a fire hazard. So I went to Micheal's to buy a replacement and they don't do the grape swags anymore cause that was soooo 9 years ago. I know I need to update my kitchen, but I just don't have the money to do that. So I bought a grapevine swag, a spool of ribbon, and 3 of these little candle rings that were on clearance for .80 cents!!! I also had a 40% off coupon for a regular priced item, so score!!! A new swag for less than $10. I didn't even do any gluing. I just tied the candle rings on with the ribbon and hung it up. I can easily change the rings for autumn, Christmas, whatever!!
Outdoor Twig Wreath
I made this wreath for my house yesterday and it was super simple to make! It took me about an hour at most and that included the trip though the woods to collect twigs. I put it on my outside south facing wall. That side of the house gets the most wind & rain in the fall so if this gets wet, I don't care cause it was free (with the exception of the 3 glue sticks)!!!!
